Pigs in a Blanket with Cheese and Jalapeno

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 16 1x

Description

Tasty pigs in a blanket recipe loaded with flavor. Perfect as a game day snack, potluck dish, or appetizer.

These are classic pigs in a blanket with cheese and jalapeno added. Depending on the jalapeños that you use, they can have a nice, spicy kick!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans Pillsbury™ refrigerated crescent rolls (oz each)
  • 1 package mini sausages (we use Little Smokies)
  • 6 oz cheddar cheese
  • 7 jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Cut cheddar cheese & jalapenos into thin, skinny slices (for ours I like the slices about ¼” thick and 2” long)
  3. Unroll the cans of crescent rolls and cut each triangle into two.
  4. Place sausage, cheese, jalapeno in the shortest edges of the triangles and roll up your pigs in a blanket.
  5. Place pigs in a blanket on an un-greased baking sheet
  6. Optional: brush the tops with egg and sprinkle with pretzel salt
  7. Bake for 12 – 15 minutes, or until the tops turn golden brown
