Healthy Turkey Chili
This healthy turkey chili recipe is simple to make and plenty satisfying while still being healthy. There's a GOOD amount of seasoning in this recipe!

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 yellow onion
- 1 lbs lean ground turkey
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 10 oz can diced tomatoes
- 16 oz can red kidney beans
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 2 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne (optional, to add spice)
In a large skillet, add the olive oil and chopped onion. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes.
Add the ground turkey to the skillet with the onion and cook for 5 - 7 minutes, until browned. Drain the grease from the skillet.
In a large pot, combine all ingredients, including the cooked onions and ground turkey. Stir well to mix.
Bring the pot to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer uncovered for 20 - 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
