Description
These are chewy, soft, delicious oatmeal raisin cookies. They are easy to make and are the ultimate classic oatmeal raisin cookie.

- 4 tbsp butter, softened
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ¾ cup flour
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 4 tbsp milk
- 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- ¾ cup raisins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a nonstick cookie sheet.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Beat the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Add the milk and mix to combine.
- Stir in the raisins and oatmeal.
- Drop heaping teaspoon-fulls onto the baking sheet and bake for 12 – 14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack.
