The Best Eggnog French Toast

Ingredients

6-8 slices of Texas toast, homemade bread, or English muffin bread

4 eggs, beaten

2 cups eggnog

2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons coconut sugar

⅛ teaspoon salt


Instructions

  • Place the beaten eggs, eggnog, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, coconut sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  • Soak the bread slices in the eggnog mixture and set aside.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-low heat and grease with butter or coconut oil. Lay 2-3 slices of prepared bread in the pan and fry for 1-2 minutes on either side until golden and crisp. 
  • Place in a warm oven while you make the rest of the batch. 
  • Serve warm with syrup and butter. Add whipped cream and berries if desired. Enjoy!
