Instructions
Instructions
- Drain and press the tofu for 30 minutes. You can use a tofu press or press the tofu between two cutting boards with heavy books on top. Before pressing, add paper towels or a kitchen towel to the top and bottom of your tofu to help absorb moisture.
- As your tofu drains, whisk together the ingredients for the sauce.
- In a bowl or Ziploc bag, toss the tofu with the cornstarch.
- In a large pan over medium heat, add the sesame oil (or olive oil). Once the oil is hot, add the tofu and cook for 3 – 4 minutes on each side, or until crispy.
- Lower the heat to medium, pour in the sauce and stir. Cook for 3 – 4 more minutes, until the tofu is brown and well-coated in the sauce and most of the sauce has been absorbed.
