Why did my chia pudding not set?
There are a few reasons why your chia pudding may not have set:
- Stale chia seeds: if your chia seeds sit too long in your pantry they may become stale or have trouble gelling. Try getting some fresh chia seeds – these are our favorite ones.
- Type of milk: if you use almond milk or low-fat milk your pudding may not be as thick. Try stirring in more chia seeds to thicken it.
- Stir it twice: after your whisk your ingredients together, let your pudding sit for 5 – 10 more minutes and then stir it again. If you skip this step, clumps of seeds may form or too much liquid may rise to the top of your pudding.
How long is chocolate chia seed pudding good for?
Chocolate chia seed pudding will stay good in the fridge for 4 – 5 days. Be sure to store it in a well-sealed airtight container.
