This spicy roasted cauliflower recipe is the best: the cauliflower comes out perfectly crispy and full of flavor. Depending on how much spice you’re craving on the day you make these, you can also easily adjust the spice levels.

About the Recipe

This is an easy roasted cauliflower recipe. It’s a crowd pleaser – especially good for skeptics of cauliflower or as an appetizer at a party. The flavors and fun and festive.

The most popular way to serve this recipe is as a side dish or an appetizer. Serve it by itself or with some dipping sauce (wing sauce or BBQ sauce are both tasty)!

Spicy Roasted Cauliflower

Roasted Cauliflower Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp red chili flakes
  • salt & pepper to taste

How to Make Spicy Roasted Cauliflower

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Wash and dry the cauliflower. The cauliflower should be completely dry (otherwise it won’t get crispy in the oven).

Step 2:

Cut the cauliflower into medium-large spears. Chop the largest pieces of the cauliflower with a knife and then use your hands to break apart smaller spears. Trim the stalk of the cauliflower on pieces where it’s too long.

Step 3:

Add them to a large mixing bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Add the seasonings and toss to coat.

TIP: This is where you can adjust your spice levels! The spice of this recipe is medium-hot, so if you’re craving some extra heat, add more cayenne and red pepper flakes to your bowl.

Step 4:

Add the cauliflower to a large, parchment paper lined baking sheet. Spread them into one layer as much as possible.

Step 5:

Bake for 15 minutes, flip and bake on the other side for 10 more minutes, until browned and crispy. When generally like our cauliflower well done, and will bake it until it’s dark brown in places!
