cookie dough dip

This cookie dough dip mimics the taste of cookie dough in dip form. The secret to its taste is some cream cheese, chocolate chips, and a little bit of sugar.

You’ll have to try it to believe it!

I was skeptical at first — how could a dip actually taste like a cookie?! But this dip is as close as it gets!

It really helps to pair this with graham crackers. Something about the added taste and crunch nails an overall cookie dough flavor.

How to Make Cookie Dough Dip

This is a super easy recipe! It’s essentially 3 steps and ready in about 10 minutes.

The full recipe is at the bottom of this page, but for a quick summary:

Step 1: Mix the ‘Dough’

First, mix together butter and cream cheese. Next, add in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar.

Mix together until smooth. The dough will have a slight ‘whipped’ texture.

Step 2: Add The Chocolate Chips

Stir in the chocolate chips! This is where the ‘dough’ starts to really look like chocolate chip cookie dough.

Step 3: Eat!

Serve the dip with graham crackers, pretzels, or chips. Graham crackers are our favorite and make this taste even close to a true chocolate chip cookie.

Tips for Making Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip

This recipe is super simple to make. Here’s a few tips to make sure it turns out perfect every time:

Mix Well.

Mix the ‘dough’ together completely: before you add chocolate chips to your dip, the constancy of the dough should be smooth and completely mixed (so that there aren’t unwanted lumps when you’re eating it!)

Room temperature butter & cream cheese

For step 1 (mixing butter and cream cheese), it helps if these ingredients are room temperature so that they aren’t too firm.

Making the dip ahead of time + storage:

You can make this dip ahead of time, just make sure to store it in an airtight container in your fridge

Peanut butter cookie dough dip?!

Pro tip: add 1/2 cup of peanut butter to turn this into PEANUT BUTTER cookie dough dip! Peanut butter lovers rejoice.
