easy spinach dip recipe

This 3-step easy spinach dip recipe is both incredibly simple and delicious. It’s full of fresh flavor that comes from a secret ingredient: a packet of Ranch Dips Mix!

You can find packets of Hidden Valley Ranch® Dip Mix next to the salad dressing in the store and they are lifesavers! These little packets are full of flavor and work well in a variety of recipes.

Spinach dip is the perfect idea for parties, as an appetizer, or even an afternoon snack. It’s a classic. Serve it with crackers or fresh bread and you won’t be able to stop dipping!

What Is Spinach Dip Made Of?

Spinach dip traditionally has a mix of spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, and water chestnuts. Not every recipe will have each of these ingredients, but most will have a couple.

This recipe has all of these ingredients for the perfect taste and consistency.

Instead of adding a mix of herbs, this recipe calls for a packet of Ranch Dips Mix (so good!), giving it a kick of flavor. It’s impossible to get the seasoning of your spinach dip wrong with this.

What Goes with Spinach Dip?

A popular choice to serve with spinach dip is sourdough bread (a freshly sliced sourdough loaf or french bread). This goes perfectly with the cool creaminess of the spinach dip and is easy to dip.

Spinach dip also goes well with: crackers, pita chips, tortilla chips, and a variety of other breads. If you have a favorite bread or cracker, there’s a good chance it will taste delicious with spinach dip!

Can You Freeze It?

Yes! You can freeze spinach dip. In fact, this recipe uses frozen spinach so it will freeze relatively well.

No matter the spinach dip recipe, freezing it won’t be quite as good as when it’s freshly made. But you can absolutely freeze it and preserve the flavor.
